Julia + Reed's Urban Wedding at Felice Urban Cafe in Cleveland, Ohio

GRACE JONES

Julia and Reed had the loveliest little wedding at Felice Urban Cafe (which is a quirky little restaurant in an old, green house in the Larchmere neighborhood!) Julia grew up going to the cafe and knew that it would make the most perfect venue for their wedding. Getting to know Julia and Reed over the past year has been so wonderful. They are hard working, hilarious and love the outdoors…oh and their dog, Atlas (he wasn’t at the wedding, but he’s the coolest doggo!) They didn’t want their wedding to feel like a traditional wedding, they changed up the traditions and I have to say, it was awesome and 100% true to who they are as humans, which is important since it’s their wedding day, right?

Their day was filled with so many little unique moments, from the earrings that Julia wore (they are pesos that were turned into earrings for her great great grandma to wear on her wedding), to the veil that found its place on top of her head during their ceremony (She was the 4th generation to wear it, AND it’s hand made lace brought over from Spain with her great grandma) to the unique take on their vows, which might be my favorite thing I have seen at a wedding yet! They did the ancient Celtic tradition of the Oathing Stone. While they said their vows to each other, they held the stone in their hands and sealed their vows to each other in stone, metaphorically, but still how freaking cool is that?!

After their ceremony, we walked around the neighbor hood to do some photos of just the two of them quick, then off to the party we went. Their was a killer live band who absolutely killed it with the tunes. There were so many heartfelt speeches and some damn good food made by Felice Urban Cafe. We partied the night away and it was wonderful and perfect!
