Lindsay Anne & Tom // A Sunflower Proposal // Baltimore, MD

GRACE JONES

I am so excited to share this story with you all! I wanted to type up something, but Tom (the awesome fellow in the photos below) couldn't have said it any better. After getting to know Lindsay Anne & Tom over the past year I was so excited when we got to be a part of such a huge moment in both of their lives. I LOVE LOVE! I am still squealing with excitement! GUYS THEY ARE GETTING MARRIED!!!

Below is Tom & Lindsay Anne's story of the night!

"Two weeks ago I contacted Jenna Souers Photography and Grace E. Jones Photography respectively, asking them to shoot my proposal to Lindsay Anne in two weeks. After a little conniving and sneaky vocabulary, it was arranged that Jenna and Grace needed a place to crash while they shot a wedding in Baltimore with another photographer. Naturally, Lindsay Anne invited them to stay at the Burrow for the weekend. Also, Jenna just so happened to want to take photos of me and Lindsay Anne because she wanted more couples on her website.
Lindsay Anne had just learned of a sunflower field in bloom northeast of Baltimore, so she suggested that as a location. Perfect! On Friday, the four of us headed up there in V-Dub: Heart of a Champion and in voluminous traffic which made me nervous about the setting sun. The sun doesn’t have to compete with traffic. Not like us. Fortunately we got there with 40 minutes of sunshine left and the flowers were just starting to get sleepy. We ventured into the field.
Jenna and Grace posed us a couple different ways, but then they wanted us to face away from each other. Lindsay Anne had flower petals in her hair which Jenna had to brush away. This was the perfect opportunity for Grace to hand me the large box in which the ring was stored. When I got the box, I knelt down and Lindsay Anne turned around to see what I was doing. I was kind of worried because her face reached the same color palette as her hair very quickly. Her eyes and mouth were also wider than I have ever seen. I asked, “Lindsay Anne, will you marry me?”
Her first word was “Yes,” but I can’t remember exactly what she said after that. I recall lots “Oh my gosh”-s and “I can’t believe this”-s.
The drive home was much shorter than the drive there. We called her sister Maggie, and her grandparents, which made for some very fun conversations. We then went to Bean Hollow for ice cream and then to her parents’ house. They had just ordered pizza which was great because we were extremely hungry. My dad brought over some champagne to celebrate and we stayed there til midnight-30.
Lindsay Anne and I are very happy to announce that we are (for realzies) getting married!"

P.S. Sorry for lying to everyone. We couldn't break our cover.
