Isabel + Luke's Wedding At The Gahanna Sanctuary // Gahanna, Ohio

Isabel and Luke are some of the chillest people I have met. Their excitement and love for one another is so apparent in everything they do. Their wedding day was held at the newly renovated and updated Gahanna Sanctuary in Gahanna. If you love started glass, vaulted ceilings and an over all vibe of quirky and beauty, this is probably the place for you to get married.

They pretty much DIYd their whole wedding themselves with the help of family and friends. Isabel made her bouquet, she picked most of her flowers and wrapped them up with the most lovely silk ribbon. Her mom crochet the dollies that graced each table. Luke made the wooden structure in which they stood in front of to get married. Isabel said “The individual things are not that important, but the amount of time, love, and creativity that went into all of them is.” I can’t agree more with that statement. The rings they shared with one another are made from the Gibeon Meteorite, you can’t sit there and tell me that that isn’t the coolest thing you have ever seen or heard?! Seriously, a ring made form something that was in SPACE…SPACE PEOPLE! And the fact that they had lego people on top of their tower of donuts, automatically put them in my top 10 favorite humans.

When I asked them what was important to them about getting married, they said this, “Healthcare, tax benefits, the profound symbolism built into our western socialization, that this is what is necessary to foster a fulfilling connection with someone in this life. While this is all true (but also a joke), we honor the symbols and rituals and think they are important. We are excited to continue building our family together and view this as a concrete symbol of our existing commitment to each other.” By the way, their humor is incredible, I hope you got a laugh out of that.
