Kyrgyzstan//Adventure Pt. 2
GRACE JONES
I have never been to such a beautiful place before in my life. After a 30 or so minute drive out of the town we were staying in, we came into this gorgeous country side filled with breath taking landscapes. The mountains are covered in blooming trees and colorful bushes. When we arrived at our final destination; also known as "The Gorge", my breath was taken away. I stood there and just starred at it all and took it all in. WOW. There is just something about spending time out in God's beautiful earth that brings you closer to Him. That day I felt so close to God. It all still feels like a beautiful and surreal dream.
4 Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple. 5 You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas, 6 who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength, 7 who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations. 8 The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy. 9 You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it.
-Psalm 65: 4-9
Before going exploring we had a little picnic on the side of the hill. I can still hear the river rushing between the valley like it was yesterday. It was so peaceful. I wish I never had to leave that spot! While we were eating lunch we looked across the river and saw a house (pictured below) we wanted so badly go see what it looked like (but we thought that might be kind of weird seeing a group of Americans looking around your property) so we just watched from across the blue river. Little did we know that the day before we would leave this beautiful country that we would end up having lunch with the family that lives there! (let me just say that I would die to live in that house, I mean who wouldn't want to live next to this beautiful place?!) I still can't believe how it all happened! How funny! After the delicious lunch (which is pictured near the end) the boys picked the girls flowers, then we went down to the river side to eat a little after lunch appetizer, which consisted of grilled lamb skewers. (it was soooo good!!!) We went back up on the porch of the house and looked at the fog rolling around the valley, the owner pointed out 2 bald eagles that were nesting in the side of the mountain. Like I said at the beginning, this was the most beautiful/breathtaking place I have ever been.
