The Bushong Family // Bear Hunts and Baths // Bellefontaine, Ohio

If you’ve been following my work for a while, this beautiful family will probably look familiar! This is my 5th year of documenting them as a family and boy has it been a wonderfully fun ride watching them grow and change over the past few years. The first session I ever did with them was just with Erica and Nick when they didn’t have kids and then pow just like that they have 3!

This session was so special to me because we got to recreate a photo we did a couple years ago when the girls just turned 1 with their baby brother, who just turned 1 too! (that’s it up there!) After bath time we headed out on a bear hunt, binoculars, bear masks and the whole 10 yards (Erica is by far the coolest mom ever!) We jumped on beds and ran around the house making bear noises. Something I have learned while photographing families is it’s so much more fun to partake in the games and fun they are having instead of just standing there taking photos.
