Susan + Eric // Untraditional Wedding at The Orchard House B&B in Granville, Ohio
GRACE JONES
Susan and Eric are my kind of people, untraditional, no pomp and circumstance, super chill, and down to earth. In our initial meeting they told me how they got engaged, ready for this? Eric asked Susan when they were hiking on the Muir Woods trail in the Redwood National forest, they broke off from the crowds and crossed a fallen tree bridge and on the other side in a clearing Eric asked Susan to marry her, obviously she said yes!
Their vision for their wedding was simple. They were telling me how they wanted to support as many local vendors as possible and just have an all around casual, chill evening with all of their friends and familes. No first dance, no cake cutting, none of the traditional things that weddings normally have. MY HEART WAS SOARING! (I am a very untraditional person and when others aren’t either it makes me so happy!!)
They had their “It’s-Not-A-Wedding” wedding at the beautiful Orchard house Bed and Breakfast in Granville, Ohio, it was STUNNING!!! What a gem of a location. They had a beer truck by The Daily Growler serving up cold brews all through the evening, Rime Time popsicles to keep everyone cool and refreshed while waiting for the ceremony to begin and for apps and dinner Sweet Carrot served up some delicious grub.
Their ceremony was in the beautiful pine tree forest just as the sun was setting, BEAUTIFUL! Right after that we did 10 minutes of portraits and then headed to get the party started! They had the band Popgun serenading everyone for the whole evening, live bands are the BEST, no doubt about it!
P.S. if you are wondering what a four hour wedding looks like, this is it! Having us at your wedding for only four wedding is just the right amount of time to get everything documented. Don’t be afraid of the four hour wedding, it loves you, we love you.
