Sarah + David's Magical Wedding At The Arcade In Cleveland, Ohio

GRACE JONES

Have you ever felt like you’ve been transported to a fantasy world during a wedding? No? Just me? Okay…Sarah and David’s wedding was the perfect mix of The Fantastic Beasts movie and reality. I think it helped that their venue ( The Cleveland Arcade ) was built in the 1800s and looks like you’re in Paris. Sarah and David are some of the most generous and kind humans. Their love radiates wherever they go and it’s evident that their family and friends just absolutely love the shit out of them.

Throughout their day they had so many little hidden gems that represented something so much bigger and deeper. My favorite is the reason behind Sarah’s flower crown. Sarah’s mom passed away when she was a teen, then their house got robbed right after that so all of the memories of her mom were lost. She spent a lot of time thinking of how she could bring her mom into her wedding day and she remembered how she was such an incredible gardener. Their yard was always filled with roses, peonies and daffodils. Fresh herbs and vegetables graced it as weds. So Sarah picked a flower crown to represent her mom’s memory. Also, can we take a moment to recognize how sweet David’s green suit is?! He got it custom made and it fit perfectly with their magical wedding day.

During one of our many talks before their wedding, they had mentioned how they wanted to eat pizza on their wedding day because it was the first thing David and Sarah cooked together and since they are from NYC, it was a little piece of home in Cleveland. Being the schemer that I am, I arranged for them to be surprised with a pizza during our time taking photos during sunset. Little did I know what it would turn into. As we were taking photos, people would come up and ask for a photo with them, then they started to offer slices of pizza to people passing by. Sunset photos turned quickly into “sharing pizza with strangers photos” and I am not mad about it at all. This just shows their love for everyone and the generosity they carry with them no matter where they go.

In all honesty, I could easily talk about these two for hours. But I will spare you and leave you with all of the photos and videos we created during their day!
